posted 18 June 2026 17:30

The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine held its first Open Day—a public event under the slogan "Your Intellect Is Our Weapon," which brought together everyone seeking to learn more about the ESBU's work, its tasks, and challenges, as well as those considering joining the institution's team.

Participants had the opportunity to communicate with the leadership, familiarize themselves with the main areas of the Bureau's activities, and ask questions directly to those who work daily to counter economic offenses.

Opening the event, Director of the ESBU of Ukraine Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi spoke about the Bureau's work priorities, the institution's transformation process, and the tasks facing the body in the face of modern challenges.

First Deputy Director of the ESBU Taras Shcherbai presented the areas of international cooperation, interagency interaction, and partnership development. Deputy Director Pavlo Buzdyhan spoke about the role of analytics in exposing economic offenses and how analytical tools help detectives investigate complex economic crimes.

Deputy Director Yurii Bielousov presented career opportunities at the ESBU, service conditions, and prospects for professional growth.

An interactive quiz, hosted by the Acting Deputy Head of the Human Capital Development Department, Sofiia Dudnichenko, drew particular interest from the participants. The winners not only demonstrated knowledge regarding the Bureau's activities but also gained an opportunity to get a closer look at its operations—the three top participants will be invited to the ESBU for an introductory visit.

Participants asked questions about the Bureau's operations, the specifics of entering the service, internships, practical training, and career prospects. This format allowed the guests to learn more about the people working at the ESBU and the challenges they face on a daily basis.

The Open Day became another step for the ESBU toward openness, building trust, and attracting young specialists who aspire to work to protect the economic interests of the state.
