Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in Kyiv have notified the director of a construction company of suspicion regarding the evasion of land rent payments totaling over UAH 5.3 million.
The pre-trial investigation established that between 2023 and 2025, the enterprise, which is engaged in the construction of residential complexes, failed to fulfill its tax obligations concerning land payments. Specifically, it did not submit the required reports and failed to pay rent.
Despite this, the company continued to use the land plots for its business activities. As a result, the budget missed out on over UAH 5.3 million in mandatory payments.
The basis for entering the information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations was an analytical product from the Information Analysis and Risk Management Department of the ESBU Territorial Office in Kyiv.
Detectives notified the suspect of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion in significant amounts).
During the pre-trial investigation, the damages caused to the state were reimbursed in full—over UAH 5.3 million was paid into the budget.
A petition to release the individual from criminal liability has been sent to the court in accordance with Part 4 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine due to the full reimbursement of the damages.
Procedural oversight is conducted by prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
