Nine barrels of alcohol without excise stamps or a license: trader will stand trial in the Lviv region

 The pretrial investigation has been completed in the Lviv region regarding a resident who illegally purchased and stored adulterated alcohol for sale. The indictment was sent to court by detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Lviv region.

The investigation established that the man was not registered as a business entity and did not hold licenses for the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages. At the same time, during August - October 2025, he illegally purchased and stored ethyl alcohol and alcoholic beverages without excise tax stamps for sale.

During searches in residential and non-residential premises, ESBU detectives seized nine 200-liter barrels with liquid having a sharp smell of alcohol. Another 35 Tetra Paks with unlabelled alcohol products were found in the suspect's vehicle. The estimated value of the seized items is 1.4 million UAH.

The actions of the accused were qualified under part 1 of article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—illegal manufacture, storage, and sale of excisable goods. The indictment has been sent to court.
