In the Khmelnytskyi region, ESBU exposed a tax scheme in meat product manufacturing

 Almost 15 million hryvnias of unpaid taxes were returned to the budget by officials of an enterprise in the Khmelnytskyi region. The scheme was exposed by detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Vinnytsia region.

The pretrial investigation proved the facts of intentional non-payment of taxes by officials of an LLC engaged in the production and sale of meat products.

It was established that during 2025-2026, the enterprise carried out the sale of finished products outside of accounting records. In addition, in the documents of the company, the value of goods was indicated as significantly lower than the market rate, which allowed understating the amount of tax obligations.

Thus, damage in the total amount of 14.9 million UAH was caused to the state budget in the form of unpaid income taxes and value-added taxes.

In the course of the pretrial investigation of the criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion on an especially large scale), the damages caused were reimbursed in full. The funds have already been transferred to the budget.

The criminal proceedings have been sent to court.

Procedural guidance is carried out by the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict.
