Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Chernivtsi region sent to court materials against a resident of Bukovina who was selling counterfeit excisable goods.

The woman bought counterfeit vodka on the Internet and then sold it without any permits or licences.

During the searches the detectives seized almost 2000 litres of vodka and alcohol.

The court has now delivered a verdict and found the defendant guilty of committing a criminal offence under Part 1 Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced her to a fine. The seized counterfeit products are subject to destruction.
