ESBU will cooperate with law enforcement agencies of the Czech Republic

Directors of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, Vadym Melnyk and the National agency for combating organized crime of the Czech Republic, Jiri Mazanek, agreed on a strategic partnership and cooperation. The parties signed the relevant Memorandum.

The subject of the Memorandum is also consulting on the fight against organized crime, joint investigations, exchange of information and experience, training and technical support.

Vadym Melnyk expressed his gratitude to the Director of the Agency, Jiri Mazanek, for his support and cooperation in the institutional development of the Bureau.

"The signing of the Memorandum is a logical continuation of our fruitful cooperation with the Czech National agency for combating organized crime. Practical day-to-day interaction, information exchange, analytics, joint investigations and experience are many areas of our common interests. In the near future our employees will be involved in a series of training programs for Czech colleagues. A separate important direction is the identification and blocking of financial assets of the russian federation and the republic of Serbia in the Czech Republic," said Director of the Bureau Vadym Melnyk.

The document was signed as part of a working visit by the director of the Bureau to the TD of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

For reference:: The National Organized Crime Agency (NCOZ) was established in 2016. This is the executive unit of the Criminal Police and Investigation Service.

NCOZ is a coordinating, methodological and controlling body. Detects and investigates organized crime, contributes to state security. In accordance with established subordination, participates in solving tasks assigned to the Presidium of the Police of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic.

Within its competence the body specializes in detecting organized crime, financial crimes, serious economic crimes and corruption.

Recently the ESBU agreed on the interaction algorithm with the Europol National Contact Point in Ukraine. More details
