Based on the results of information and analytical activities, analysts of the Territorial Administration of the ESBU in the Volyn region have prevented the embezzlement of UAH 62 million of state funds.

Officials of one of the communal enterprises of the Lutsk city council which is the manager of budget funds planned to purchase a magnetic resonance imaging machine worth UAH 62 million.

Analysts established that one of the founders and ultimate beneficial owners of the supplier company is a citizen of the russian federation.

Accordingly the received money could be transferred in the form of dividends or otherwise to subjects of the russian federation and used as financing of armed aggression against Ukraine.

Analysts of the TD ESBU in the Volyn region on the basis of the revealed prerequisites for harming the economic security of the state, sent a letter of recommendation to the administrator of budget funds. In order to prevent the waste of public funds, officials of the utility company were recommended to review the expediency of concluding the relevant contract. As a result Municipal enterprise officials refused the purchase.

We will remind that recently the ESBU analyst in the course of conducting information and analytical activities, prevented the embezzlement of UAH 327 million of state funds during the purchase of diesel generators in Dnipro.
