Acting Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine Serhii Perkhun, Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko and Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine Philip Pronin have signed a trilateral memorandum of cooperation between the agencies.
The document envisages cooperation between the institutions in the field of preventing and combating money laundering, terrorist financing and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
In addition, according to Serhii Perkhun, Acting Director of the ESBU, the memorandum's provisions refer to joint counteraction to offences that infringe on the functioning of the state's economy.
‘I am convinced that the coordinated efforts of the agencies will strengthen the work on de-shadowing the economy,’ Perkhun said.
As a reminder, the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine recently held a board meeting to consider the organisation of a set of measures to assess risks in the economy and approve the Bureau's 2024 Activity Report.
