ESBU launches pre-trial investigation into the activities of several Telegram channels with millions of subscribers

The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine has responded to information circulating in the public domain regarding the potential illegal activities of Telegram channels with multi-million audiences. Detectives from the ESBU Main Detective Unit have launched a pre-trial investigation into alleged violations of tax and financial legislation.
The ESBU emphasizes that Telegram channels engaged in commercial activities are subject to Ukrainian law and are required to declare income and pay taxes.
The ESBU operates systematically. The rules are the same for everyone — regardless of the platform, audience size, or format of activity.
