Detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region exposed a resident of Ivano-Frankivsk city who was selling counterfeit tobacco products.

It was established that the man received counterfeit goods through the post office.

As a result of the searches of the warehouse the detectives of the ESBU found and seized 27 boxes of tobacco products without excise stamps of the established sample. The estimated value of the seized goods is about UAH 1 million.

The pre-trial investigation under Part 1 Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is ongoing. The issue of seizure of property is being decided.

Operational support was provided by the SSU Office in Ivano-Frankivsk region. The Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the procedural supervision.
