ESBU in the Kyiv region refers the case of illegal electronic cigarette trade to the court

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Kyiv region have referred to court an indictment against a suspect who organized the illegal sale of electronic cigarettes and vaping liquids.

The investigation established that the individual organized the supply of counterfeit goods and sold them through retail outlets in the Kyiv region, as well as through social networks with delivery throughout Ukraine.

During authorized searches, ESBU detectives discovered and seized containers with e-liquids, POD systems, cartridges, and disposable electronic tobacco devices. Additionally, mobile terminals, handwritten records («black accounting»), computer equipment, and cash were seized.

The organizer of the illegal activity was notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal storage, sale, or transportation for the purpose of sale of excise goods).

The indictment has been referred to the court.

The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office is providing prosecutorial supervision.
