Analysts of the Territorial Department of the ESBUin Kyiv prevented the embezzlement of about UAH 2 million of public funds during the purchase of pumps and compressors.

The tender was announced by one of the state-owned companies that is part of the Naftogaz group of companies. After analyzing the tender proposal, the analysts found that the winner of the tender provided deliberately false information. In particular, regarding its experience in supplying equipment of a similar subject of procurement.

Based on the identified risks in order to prevent misappropriation of budget funds the analysts sent a letter and recommended that the customer reject the tender offer.

The state-owned company's officials in accordance with the recommendation of the employees of the ESBU reviewed the terms and conditions of the procurement and canceled it.
