ESBU in Kyiv exposed the sale of counterfeit dollars: the case has been sent to court

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in Kyiv have completed the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings related to the sale of counterfeit foreign currency.

The investigation established that a man used online advertisements to find sellers of used Apple equipment, met them in Kyiv, and paid for the goods with fake hundred-dollar bills.

During investigative actions, detectives of the ESBU seized these counterfeit banknotes. They were of extremely high quality, virtually indistinguishable from genuine 100-dollar bills.

As a result of the measures taken by the detectives, material damages in the amount of over 370 thousand UAH were compensated to the victims.

The indictment has been sent to court.
