Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukrane in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region prevented the reimbursement of scheme VAT and prevented the embezzlement of state budget funds in the amount of UAH 11.3 million.

The investigation established that a number of related companies registered in the Khmelnytskyi region, also affiliated with the people's deputy of Ukraine, documented non-commodity transactions throughout the state.

Fictitious contracts were concluded for the purchase of asphalt-concrete mixture for road construction works in the Kherson region.

The amount of VAT reimbursement according to the registration of the relevant transactions should have amounted to UAH 11.3 million.

Currently, all the circumstances of the commission of a criminal offense and the full range of persons involved in this scheme are being established.

Pre-trial investigation in the specified proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 212 CCU is carried out by detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv regional prosecutor's office.
