Detectives of the Territorial Administration of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in Zakarpattia Oblast sent an indictment to the court in the case of illegal use of trademarks of well-known companies in the manufacture of counterfeit household chemicals.

The investigation established the residents of Zakarpattia region, who in a specially rented premises set up the illegal production of household chemicals. In the future the products were sold via the Internet under the guise of imported original household chemicals.

In this way, material damage was caused to foreign companies that registered trademarks in Ukraine and have international registration.

Detectives of the ESBU discovered and stopped the illegal production of goods.

Pretrial investigation in criminal proceedings on the grounds of a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Art. 229 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal use of a mark for goods and services, company name, qualified indication of the origin of goods) was carried out by detectives of Territorial Administration of the ESBU in Zakarpattia region together with the cybercrime countermeasures department in Zakarpattia region of the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Zakarpattia Region Prosecutor's Office. Currently, the materials of the criminal proceedings with the indictment have been sent to the district court of Zakarpattia region.
