Deepening сooperation between the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine and Japanese partners

 The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine held a working meeting with a delegation from the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine to further deepen cooperation in the areas of institutional development, transparency, and the responsible use of international assistance.

During the meeting, First Deputy Director of the ESBU Taras Shcherbai emphasized that Japan's experience in consistently building effective state institutions is of particular value to the Bureau. Japanese approaches, based on crime prevention, discipline, and long-term planning, are viewed by the ESBU as important benchmarks in its own institutional development process.

In this context, the parties exchanged views on the development of the analytical component, the introduction of modern information solutions, and the formation of systemic approaches to protecting international technical and humanitarian assistance, as well as intellectual property rights.

For its part, the Japanese side emphasized the importance of the transparent, accountable, and secure use of the assistance provided to Ukraine by the Government of Japan. The First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan, Nozomu Yamashita, provided information on JICA's activities and the possibilities for long-term expert and consultative support aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity of the ESBU.

Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their shared vision of deepening cooperation as a consistent process based on mutual respect, trust, and a commitment to achieving practical and sustainable results.
