Over 2 thousand liters of alcohol-containing mixture and 366 bottles of counterfeit vodka under the labels of well-known brands were stored for sale by a resident of the Lviv district.
Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Lviv region documented the illegal activity of the man and completed the pretrial investigation.

The investigation established that the man purchased through the Internet at least 400 bottles of counterfeit vodka under the guise of products of popular trademarks with forged excise tax stamps. He also purchased over 100 canisters with a volume of 30 liters containing an alcohol mixture, as well as whisky and cognac concentrates. He transported the products to his own household, where he stored them for subsequent sale.
During the search, detectives seized 74 canisters of 30 liters each containing an alcohol mixture, 366 bottles of counterfeit alcohol of almost 30 trademarks, 93 vials of whisky and cognac concentrates, and a canister of cognac concentrate.

Examinations confirmed that the investigated alcohol products are a water-alcohol mixture with a strength of 36–39% and do not meet the requirements of the state standard for vodka.
The indictment has been sent to court under Part 1 of Article 204 (illegal acquisition for the purpose of sale, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale, and sale of illegally manufactured alcoholic beverages) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
