On October 8, the Director of the Economic Security Bureau Vadym Melnyk held a working meeting with the business Ombudsman of Ukraine Marcin Svenchitsky and his deputy Yaroslav Hrehirchak. During the meeting, the parties agreed on close cooperation, exchange of experience and good practices that the Business Ombudsman Council has.
The Director of the ESBU outlined the essential principles and priorities of the Bureau's work to the leadership of the Business Ombudsman Council, which are: an accent on analytics and assistance in the development of legal business.
"I have repeatedly emphasized the priority of analytical activities while building the ESBU. There will be more analysts than detectives – 60% to 40%, respectively. A detective will not have the access to analytical databases. This is another way that will make it impossible to put pressure on business.
The ESBU works to protect the interests of the state and honest business, using modern civilized methods of work. However, the fight against illegal schemes and their leaders among officials, who prevent the development of the country's investment attractiveness, will be tough”, - Vadym Melnyk said.
