Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Lviv region are conducting a pre-trial investigation into a scheme for the illegal importation of a large batch of electronics from a well-known brand across the state border.
During an inspection of a Renault minibus at one of the checkpoints, a specially equipped concealment was discovered, containing a total of 829 units of electronic equipment. According to preliminary estimates, the market value of the seized property exceeds UAH 35 million.

The goods have been seized. According to a report from Lviv Customs, detectives from the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Lviv region have entered the relevant information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.
The full circle of individuals involved in organizing the smuggling channel, as well as the origin of the goods, is currently being established.
Such schemes not only cause losses to the state budget through the evasion of customs duties but also create conditions for unfair competition within the domestic electronics market.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
Procedural oversight is provided by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
