Detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Chernivtsi region referred to the court materials regarding a local resident who sold falsified excise goods.

During the pre-trial investigation the detectives of the Territorial Department found out that the man had purchased counterfeit excise goods at one of the Bukovina markets. In the future he illegally sold it at various outlets in the city.

Detectives conducted authorized searches at the man's place of residence addresses for storage and sale of illegally produced alcoholic beverages and tobacco products. As a result almost 600 liters of spirits and alcohol, more than 1,600 packs of tobacco products without Ukrainian excise tax stamps were seized.

The figure was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The case is currently referred to the court.
