Andrii Pashchuk, Acting Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, and Serhii Perkhun, Deputy Director of the ESBU, met with the management and representatives of EBA member companies.
The participants of the meeting discussed the most topical issues of interaction between the ESBU and business and debated the analytical component of Bureau and the problems in its work.
They discussed the tools used by the ESBU in its analytical work and during pre-trial investigations, as well as the necessary legislative and institutional changes.
At the same time, business representatives voiced problematic cases and their vision of changing approaches to the application of measures to ensure criminal proceedings by detectives.
For its part, the Bureau's leadership assured the meeting participants that all proposals would be carefully analysed and considered. At the same time, it is planned to set up a Working Group to continue the dialogue and develop constructive solutions to the issues of greatest concern to the business community.
In the meeting some issues of smuggling criminalisation and specifics of intellectual property rights protection, etc. also discussed.
For reference: The European Business Association was founded in 1999 with the support of the European Commission in Ukraine. Today it unites more than 1000 companies. The Association includes representative offices of international and European companies, as well as companies of Ukrainian origin.
