Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Volyn region have completed an investigation into the former head of a hospital under the Manevychi Settlement Council. The suspect, together with the director of a contracting company, organized the procurement of an oxygen supply system at an inflated price. The equipment was purchased using budget funds allocated for countering the spread of COVID-19.
According to the investigation, the men organized the purchase of the oxygen supply system at an inflated cost and signed official documents containing false data regarding the price of the equipment. As a result, the procurement cost was nearly twice the average market price.

As a result of these actions, the local budget suffered damages exceeding UAH 1.6 million, which is confirmed by the findings of the State Audit Service of Ukraine and the materials of a forensic economic expert examination.
The former hospital head and the director of the contracting company have been notified of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 191 (misappropriation of property through abuse of official position, committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, on an especially large scale, under martial law) and Part 1 of Article 366 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The indictment has been referred to the court.
