The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine has established cooperation with the National Treasury Administration of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Poland during a working visit of the Bureau's delegation to Warsaw. The arrangements relate to joint counteraction to international economic crimes in particular illegal movement of cash across the customs border of Ukraine and Poland.

As a result of the meetings an algorithm of interaction between the analytical and operational units of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine and the National Treasury Administration of the Ministry of Finance of Poland was agreed upon.

"We are grateful to our colleagues for their constructive work. Each of the countries has certain experience its own tools for detecting crimes and I am sure that the combination of efforts will lead to a more significant result. We have already recorded numerous cases of cash being moved across the state border but obtaining information on ways to legalize this money will help in the fight against money laundering," said Vitalii Hahach, Deputy Director of the ESBU.
