The ESBU in the Kyiv region has referred a case of illegal production and sale of counterfeit alcohol to the court

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Kyiv region have completed a pre-trial investigation into the illegal manufacture and sale of counterfeit alcoholic beverages.

The investigation established that the perpetrators rented warehouse premises where they set up a full technological cycle for counterfeit production. The finished products were poured into 5- and 10-liter plastic containers, as well as "bag-in-box" packaging and glass bottles disguised as well-known international brands.

The surrogate alcohol was sold in large batches through established distribution channels, online platforms, and messaging apps throughout Ukraine.

During the investigative actions, large volumes of ethyl alcohol and prepared mixtures for the production of counterfeit goods were seized.

Additionally, detectives discovered significant batches of illegally manufactured alcoholic beverages that had already been bottled and prepared for sale.
