The ESBU in Bukovyna secured the reimbursement of nearly UAH 8 million in unpaid taxes to the state budget

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi region have ensured the reimbursement of UAH 7.8 million in unpaid taxes to the state budget by a local entrepreneur.

The investigation established that a sole proprietor conducted wholesale trade of vegetables and fruits within the Chernivtsi region. These transactions were not reflected in the tax reporting.

As a result of these actions, UAH 7.8 million in taxes effectively failed to reach the state budget.

The suspect has been notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion).

During the pre-trial investigation, the damages caused to the state were reimbursed in full. A motion was submitted to the court to release the individual from criminal liability.
