The case regarding the illegal sale of vape liquids in the Vinnytsia region has been forwarded to court

 As part of a large-scale crackdown on the illegal circulation of excisable goods, the operations of several more illicit retail outlets selling electronic cigarette liquids were shut down in the Vinnytsia region. Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Vinnytsia region have completed the pre-trial investigation and served notices of suspicion to two individuals.

The investigation established that the trade was carried out in stores within the Vinnytsia region without licenses or any regulatory permits. During the searches, over 4.5 thousand containers containing nicotine, glycerin, and flavorings were removed from illegal circulation.

Currently, two individuals have been served notices of suspicion for committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition for sale, storage, as well as the sale of illegally manufactured excisable goods). One proceeding has already been forwarded to court along with the indictment.

During the pre-trial investigation, the suspects voluntarily transferred UAH 130,000 to units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Comprehensive measures to detect and disrupt illegal schemes for selling excisable products in the Vinnytsia region are ongoing.

Operational support was provided by the staff of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Vinnytsia region. The prosecution was supervised by the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
