Detectives of the Economic Security Bureau stopped the supply of e-cigarettes in Odesa region. The case was sent to court.

A resident of Odesa rented a warehouse to store tobacco products. He posted ads about the sale on the Internet.

During the search of a non-residential premises, detectives seized almost 4,000 electronic cigarettes without excise duty stamps in the amount of UAH 1.5 million.

The person involved was served a notice of suspicion of committing a criminal offense stipulated by Part 1 Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation with the intent to sell excisable goods).

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by detectives of the Territorial Department ESBU in Odesa region under the procedural supervision of the Odesa regional prosecutor's office and operational support of the strategic investigations department of the National Police in Odesa region.

Earlier it was reported that the detectives of TD ESBU in Odesa region seized more than 8,000 packs of cigarettes without excise duty stamps and almost 4,000 foreign-made electronic cigarettes from the members of the criminal group.
