The court found a 51-year-old native of Armenia guilty of organizing the illegal sale of tobacco products in Odesa. The suspect was sentenced to a fine with the confiscation of the illegally manufactured goods.
Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Odesa region established that the individual, without the required license and permit documents, resold illegally manufactured cigarettes at inflated prices in the so-called "bathyscaphes" at Odesa grocery markets.
The man accepted orders for tobacco products through Telegram channels and sent them by mail to buyers across Ukraine. He stored the products in a warehouse on Zabolotnoho Street in Odesa.

During the searches at the suspect's place of residence and storage of excisable goods, ESBU detectives detected and seized over 1 thousand packs of tobacco products. The value of the seized products amounts to over half a million hryvnias.
The court found the man guilty of committing an offense provided for by Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He was sentenced to a punishment in the form of a fine with the confiscation and destruction of the illegally manufactured products.
Even before the announcement of the verdict, the suspect transferred 10 thousand UAH for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
