Over 100,000 liters of fuel without licenses or receipts: case of illegal gas station sent to court

 The illicit trade of counterfeit fuel in the Bila Tserkva district has been completely dismantled. Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Kyiv region have concluded their pre-trial investigation into the organizers of the illegal enterprise.

The investigation revealed that the illegal gas station had been operating outside the legal framework for an extended period. The operators sold gasoline and diesel exclusively for cash, intentionally avoided using cash registers, and concealed their profits from the state. No retail trade licenses, quality certificates, or official permits for the filling station were found.

During the searches, detectives seized over 100,000 liters of petroleum products of dubious origin from illegal circulation. The seized assets included 41.9 thousand liters of A-95 gasoline and 59 thousand liters of diesel fuel. Additionally, ESBU detectives confiscated fuel dispensing systems, specialized storage tanks, and unofficial bookkeeping logs containing documentary evidence of the illicit financial turnover.

Expert evaluations confirmed the counterfeit nature of the seized petroleum products.

The materials of the criminal case under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation for sale of excisable goods) have now been referred to the court.

Procedural oversight in the case was conducted by prosecutors from the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
