Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, together with Yurii Bielousov, Deputy Director for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization, completed a working visit to the United States. Over the course of a week in Washington, the ESBU delegation held a series of meetings with representatives of government institutions, law enforcement agencies, and international organizations.
“Economic crimes are increasingly transnational in nature and actively exploit digital technologies. This is precisely why knowledge exchange is essential for effectively countering such offenses,” said ESBU Director Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi.

During the visit, the delegation held talks with representatives of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Secret Service, and the USAID Office of Inspector General, as well as representatives of the International Monetary Fund, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council.
“For the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, it is important not only to develop partnerships with international institutions but also to adopt the world's best practices in financial investigations and analytical work,” emphasized Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi.

The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to its international partners for their support and cooperation aimed at strengthening Ukraine's capacity to combat economic crime and protect the nation's financial system.
As a reminder, during the visit, a memorandum was signed with the Office of Inspector General of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
