An enterprise that manufactures materials for road construction and repair evaded paying over 10.4 million UAH in taxes. The violations were uncovered by detectives from the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Volyn region. Currently, the entire amount of unpaid taxes has been returned to the state budget.
According to the investigation, during 2022–2023, the director of the company unjustifiably included goods procurement transactions in the enterprise's expenses. In this manner, he artificially inflated the company's expenses and underreported the amount of corporate income tax that was due to the budget.

During the pre-trial investigation, the director admitted his guilt and fully restituted the damages caused to the state.
He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion on an especially large scale).
The criminal proceedings have been forwarded to the court with a motion to release the suspect from criminal liability due to the full restitution of damages.
Prosecutorial guidance is provided by the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Pursuant to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven through legal procedures and established by a court's verdict of conviction.
