Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Kyiv region shut down the operation of two illegal gas stations that functioned in Boryspil and Bila Tserkva. During the searches, about 14 tons of fuel, reservoirs for its storage, and rough bookkeeping records were seized.
The investigation established that the gas stations carried out the storage and retail sale of fuel without the necessary permit documents. During the searches, ESBU detectives did not find any accompanying documentation that would confirm the legal origin and quality of the petroleum products. In addition, licenses for the right to retail trade in fuel and quality certificates were missing, and registers of settlement operations were not used.
In the course of conducting investigative actions, about 14 tons of A-95 gasoline and diesel fuel were seized. Fuel dispensing complexes, reservoirs for fuel storage, and rough bookkeeping records were also seized.
The pretrial investigation in the criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation for sale of excisable goods) is ongoing.
The full circle of individuals involved in the illegal activity is being established.
Procedural guidance is exercised by prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
