A detectives of the Territorial Administration of the Economic Security Bureau in the Odesa region established the fact of the transportation of excise goods with the purpose of sale.

During the inspection of the minibus, law enforcement officers found 43,500 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps. The estimated total cost of tobacco products is more than UAH 3.2 million. Currently, the seized goods and material values have been transferred to responsible storage.

The violation was discovered jointly with the employees of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region and the State Border Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region.

The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine continues to systematically carry out measures to identify facts of illegal sale of excise goods and prevent their free circulation. We will remind, recently the detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in the Lviv region stopped the activities of an underground cigarette production shop in Volyn. During the searches, the law enforcement officers discovered and seized equipment for the manufacture of cigarettes, equipment for their packaging, package wrappers and more than 5.5 tons of tobacco. The total value of seized goods and material values is about UAH 20 million , including the value of excise goods is UAH 2 million.
