Illegal fuel was disguised as gas condensate absorbent; the indictment has been sent to the court

 Attempted to transport the fuel under the guise of gas condensate absorbent. Detectives of the ESBU in the Zakarpattia region exposed the illegal circulation scheme.

It was established that officials of an enterprise registered in the Kirovohrad region purchased illegally manufactured fuel and organized its transportation for subsequent sale.

To conceal the nature of the cargo, they issued a consignment note in which they indicated that gas condensate absorbent was being transported.

During the inspection of the vehicle, detectives detected and seized about 17 thousand liters of liquid. According to the conclusion of the forensic examination, the seized product does not meet the requirements of state standards.

The indictment was sent to court under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition and storage for the purpose of sale, as well as sale of illegally manufactured fuel).

Operational support was carried out by employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Zakarpattia region of the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

Procedural guidance was carried out by prosecutors of the Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a criminal offense and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict.
