Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Poltava region referred the case to the court regarding the illegal storage of counterfeit tobacco products. During the authorized search, tobacco products worth more than UAH 13 million were seized from the accused.

The investigation established that a man bought counterfeit cigarettes for further sale in Kharkiv oblast. He did not have special permits for trading in excise goods he kept the products in rented warehouses.

Currently the materials of the pre-trial investigation with the indictment have been sent to the court.

The man faces punishment in the form of a fine of five to ten thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens with confiscation and destruction of illegally manufactured goods.

The pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was carried out by detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in the Poltava region. Procedural management is the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.
