The leadership of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine met with the Director Generals of the Customs of Nordic countries - Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland - as well as with representatives of the European Union Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM).

During the visit, the participants discussed the specifics of smuggling investigations, information exchange and cooperation in the fight against economic crime.

At the beginning of the meeting, Acting Director of the ESBU Serhii Perkhun spoke about the tasks, functions and results of the ESBU work over the past year. He also emphasised the importance of cooperation with the Nordic countries to combat cross-border crime.

In his turn, Sami Rakshit, Director General of the Finnish Customs Service, who headed the Nordic delegation, praised Ukraine's efforts to develop its institutions and maintain stability in the country during the war.

At the end of the event, the parties agreed to hold separate meetings to discuss further steps to deepen cooperation.
