ESBU joined a professional discussion on the de-shadowing of the restaurant business

 Representatives of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine participated in a discussion on the de-shadowing of the restaurant sector during a meeting organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (ACC) in cooperation with the National Restaurant Association of Ukraine.

The discussion focused on the current challenges facing the industry, ways to reduce the level of shadow operations, creating a level playing field for doing business, and increasing market transparency.

Special attention was paid to the need for effective cooperation between government agencies and business representatives to build a favourable environment for the development of the restaurant industry.

Following the meeting, the participants agreed to continue the work of the existing cross-sectoral working group. Its activities are focused on developing practical solutions in the field of economic de-shadowing, promoting fair competition, and creating favorable conditions for legal business operations.

The discussion was also attended by representatives of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, the State Labour Service of Ukraine, and the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
