In March, detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Poltava region exposed and shut down 10 illegal gas stations across three regions.
📍 Poltava region—in one of the villages, a gas station operated for over a year without any permits. It sold fuel of unknown origin, creating risks for both the budget and consumers.
📍 Kharkiv region—the operations of two illegal gas stations in different settlements of the region were halted.
📍 Dnipropetrovsk region—the highest number of violations was recorded here: 7 illegal gas stations were liquidated (Dnipro, Pavlohrad, Kryvyi Rih).
In all cases, the suspects sold gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) purchased from underground producers without certificates of origin or quality. These activities were carried out without licenses for trading in excisable goods.
More than 51,000 liters of fuel of doubtful origin were seized from illegal circulation:
▪️ 16.5 thousand liters of diesel fuel
▪️ 20.5 thousand liters of gasoline
▪️ over 14 thousand liters of LPG
The ESBU continues to systematically counter the shadow turnover of fuel. Eliminating such schemes is not only about filling the budget but also about the safety of citizens and the formation of a transparent market.
