Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Poltava region have secured the reimbursement of UAH 8.3 million in damages to the budget by a meat producer based in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The criminal proceedings have been referred to court.
According to the investigation, throughout 2024, an official of the company failed to declare the financial and economic operations. Consequently, the enterprise evaded paying value-added tax (VAT) totaling UAH 8.3 million.
The amount of damage caused to the state was confirmed by the findings of a forensic economic expert.

As part of the pre-trial investigation, detectives from the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Poltava region ensured full reimbursement of the damages.
An official of the company was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (large-scale tax evasion). The criminal proceedings have been referred to court with a motion to release the individual from criminal liability.
Procedural oversight is being carried out by the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office. Operational support was provided by the Eastern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
