A developer in Bukovyna evaded paying personal income tax and military tax totaling over 4.7 million UAH in connection with the sale of townhouses and land plots. Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Chernivtsi region have completed the pre-trial investigation and ensured full reimbursement of the damages caused to the state.
The investigation established that an individual entrepreneur, whose primary business activity is the construction of residential and non-residential buildings, sold over 40 real estate properties in the Chernivtsi district between 2021 and 2025. This includes residential houses and townhouses in the villages of Chahor and Velykyi Kuchuriv, as well as the land plots where the construction projects were located.

During the sale of the real estate, he failed to pay the personal income tax and military tax required by law. The investigation established that as a result of these actions, approximately 4.7 million UAH in mandatory payments did not reach the state budget.
During the pre-trial investigation, the damages caused to the state were fully reimbursed.

ESBU detectives served the suspect with a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of taxes, fees (mandatory payments)).
The entrepreneur pled guilty and fully reimbursed the damages caused to the state before the completion of the pre-trial investigation.

Due to the full reimbursement of the damages, a motion has been submitted to the court to release him from criminal liability.
