ESBU detectives shut down an illegal gas station in the Ivano-Frankivsk region

 Detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in the Zakarpattia region have shut down an illegal gas station in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The station sold counterfeit fuel without obtaining the necessary permits.

As part of the pretrial investigation, detectives conducted searches of the premises and the gas station grounds. They seized fuel of unknown origin, a storage tank, a fuel dispenser, and over UAH 250,000 in cash.

The equipment used for the illegal fuel sales has been dismantled.

The individuals involved in the offense, as well as the fuel production sites and supply channels, are currently being identified.

Efforts to bring illegal gas stations out of the shadow economy are ongoing.

Operational support is provided by the Strategic Economic Protection Detectives Unit of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Zakarpattia region.

Prosecutorial oversight is carried out by the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
