Director of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi, met in Toronto with Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress. During the meeting, they discussed opportunities for developing a partnership and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The document facilitates the exchange of experience in preventing financial crimes, tax evasion, and money laundering, as well as facilitating consultations and training programs on transparency and corporate responsibility. The parties will work jointly on preparing analytical materials regarding economic risks and developing projects aimed at improving Ukraine's investment environment.
The Memorandum also includes the development of the Bureau's international contacts, participation in public initiatives, and the involvement of experts in projects related to economic security.
A separate area of cooperation concerns educational and professional opportunities for youth. In particular, an agreement was reached on involving students from Canada in internships and project work at the ESBU, as well as conducting joint seminars, discussions, and practical events.
The Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine and the Ukrainian World Congress expressed their readiness to move to the practical implementation of the agreements and continue cooperation in the agreed areas.
