Within the framework of the project “Supporting and Strengthening the Capacity of the Economic Security Bureau of Ukraine in Protecting the Financial Interests of the European Union”, specialists of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine met with representatives of AFCOS.

The aim of the project is to create and implement a system for protecting the financial interests of the European Union and strengthen the capacity of the ESBU by improving the regulatory framework.

During the meeting, experts from the Anti-fraud coordination service (AFCOS) and ESBU specialists analyzed the legal framework for combating fraud in Ukraine and developed proposals for necessary changes to the legislation. In addition, participants discussed typical violations in projects funded by the European Union.

The event was also attended by representatives of the State Audit Service of Ukraine, which is the OLAF National Contact Point in Ukraine.
