Court verdict and confiscation of 48,000 liters of illegal fuel based on ESBU materials

 Based on materials provided by detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in Kyiv, a court has found a resident of the Kyiv region guilty of organizing the illegal acquisition, storage, and sale of fuel.

The court sentenced the individual to a fine and applied special confiscation—48,000 liters of fuel, which have been handed over to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

The investigation established that the man, utilizing the capacities of gas stations in the region, organized a complete illegal scheme covering all stages—from the illegal production of fuel to its storage, transportation, and subsequent sale through a network of gas stations.

Four gas stations were identified where counterfeit fuel was sold, along with specialized vehicles used to deliver the products directly from the illegal production site.

All illegal gas stations have been dismantled.

The actions of the defendants were qualified under Part 1 of the Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, and sale of excisable goods).

The pre-trial investigation regarding the individuals involved in the transportation and sale of counterfeit fuel has been completed. The indictments against the suspects have been submitted to the court.
