Court delivers verdict in ESBU case over illegal e-liquid production in Kyiv region

  Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Kyiv region have submitted an indictment to the court against a man who organized the illegal production and sale of smoking liquids.

The investigation revealed that the suspect established a full-cycle mass production of counterfeit products in specially equipped facilities, utilizing industrial equipment.

 These production capacities were located on private properties and adjacent premises in the Obukhiv district of the Kyiv region.

The individual manufactured a wide range of vape liquids, which were packaged in plastic PET bottles and sold throughout Ukraine.

During authorized searches, ESBU detectives shut down the illegal operation and seized nearly 2,000 liters of liquid components, 245 liters of finished products, manufacturing equipment, computer hardware, mobile phones, and records.

The estimated value of the seized property is UAH 8.5 million.

The suspect was served with a notice of suspicion under Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (for the illegal production, storage, and sale of excisable goods).

The court found him guilty, imposed a fine and confiscation of property, but released him from serving a prison sentence with a one-year probationary period.
