The director of an enterprise engaged in the wholesale of household goods has reimbursed UAH 7 million in unpaid income tax to the state budget and paid financial penalties.
Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Odesa region established that the 62-year-old Odesa resident intentionally entered inaccurate information into financial and tax reports.

The company sold a wide assortment of barbecue and outdoor activities goods. In particular, gas, charcoal, and electric grills, pizza ovens, modular outdoor kitchens, cooking accessories, camping gear, gas cylinders, and other related products.
The company director intentionally increased the firm's expenses: over UAH 8.2 million was unjustifiably attributed to the cost of goods sold, and more than UAH 2 million to other operating expenses. In addition, she failed to reflect over UAH 27.6 million of actually received income in the reporting. As a result, the enterprise's profit was intentionally understated, allowing the underpayment of nearly UAH 7 million in income tax to the budget.

During the pre-trial investigation, the suspect fully reimbursed the damages caused to the state by paying UAH 7 million in taxes and financial penalties. Additionally, the suspect transferred UAH 500 thousand to support the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Due to the full reimbursement of the damage caused, the prosecutor petitioned the court to release the individual from criminal liability on the basis of Part 4 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
