Concealed income from the sale of 42 real estate objects - ESBU in Volyn ensured reimbursement of over 5.1 million UAH

 A resident of the Lutsk district, who sold 42 objects of unfinished construction and concealed the received income from taxation, reimbursed over 5.1 million UAH to the budget. This concerns unpaid personal income tax and military tax.

The tax evasion scheme was exposed by detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Volyn region.

The pretrial investigation established that during 2019–2025, the man sold objects of unfinished construction in Volyn for cash. During the registration of transactions, he declared income only from the sale of land plots and paid taxes on them, concealing from taxation the income from the sale of real estate located on these plots.

As a result of this, the budget missed out on 5.1 million UAH in personal income tax and military tax.

The fact of the violation was confirmed by the conclusion of an analytical study by analysts of the TO of the ESBU in the Volyn region.

The suspect was notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional tax evasion).

During the pretrial investigation, the man admitted guilt and fully reimbursed the damages caused to the state. In addition, he transferred 100 thousand UAH to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The criminal proceedings were forwarded to court with a motion to release the suspect from criminal liability due to the reimbursement of damages caused to the state.

Procedural guidance in the criminal proceedings is carried out by the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office.
