Detectives of the Territorial Office of the ESBU in the Kyiv region have completed a pre-trial investigation into the illegal production and sale of counterfeit alcohol labeled as well-known brands.
The investigation established that a Kyiv region resident organized the production, storage, and sale of counterfeit alcohol disguised as world-famous brands. Specifically, he established supply channels for raw materials and packaging, including tetrapaks, cardboard boxes with logos of famous alcohol brands, plastic containers of various sizes, ethyl alcohol, dyes, and flavorings.
The counterfeit products were sold through specialized channels in messengers and on web resources. The fraudulent goods were distributed via postal services.

During the investigation, ESBU detectives, in cooperation with Cyber Police officers, seized finished counterfeit products, raw materials, packaging, and equipment. The estimated value of the seized assets is UAH 2.5 million.
In early October 2025, the suspect was notified of suspicion under Part 1 and Part 2 of the Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has found the individual guilty.
Pursuant to Articles 75 and 76 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the man was released from serving his primary sentence of imprisonment with a one-year probation period. The seized counterfeit alcohol mixtures, production equipment, and excise stamps will be destroyed according to the established procedure.
Operational support was provided by the Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine. The case was prosecuted by the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
