Based on the materials, the detectives of the Territorial Office of the Economic Security Bureau in the Odesa region have found a 27-year-old resident of the Odesa region guilty of selling illegally produced fuel. The suspect has been fined.
Without being registered as an entrepreneur, the man purchased illegally manufactured gasoline and diesel fuel at discounted prices for over a year. He then resold it at self-installed gas stations located in the city of Berezivka and the village of Dobroslav.
During the investigation, detectives discovered that the suspect had obtained specialized software used to monitor, account for, and sell the illegally produced fuel at the gas stations. The direct sale of gasoline and diesel was carried out by two individuals whom the suspect had hired and paid in cash.

During the pretrial investigation, detectives conducted searches at the gas stations, seizing over 33 tons of illegally produced A-95 gasoline and diesel fuel. Additionally, gas station equipment, 16 containers for storing fuel and lubricants, cash, and "black ledger" records were confiscated.
To ensure restitution for the damage caused to the state budget, the court placed a seizure order on the confiscated assets, valued at UAH 2.4 million.

ESBU detectives served the suspect a notice of suspicion for committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, storage, sale, or transportation for the purpose of sale of excisable goods) and referred the case to court.
The man was sentenced to a fine of UAH 85,000, along with the confiscation and destruction of the illegally manufactured goods.
Procedural guidance was provided by prosecutors of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
