Detectives of the Territorial Department of the Economic Security Bureau in Lviv region referred the case to the court regarding a group of persons who organized the illegal production and sale of excise goods.

The investigation established that the Lviv resident organized a scheme for the illegal manufacture, storage and sale of tobacco products. He involved three more accomplices in the "business".

The underground workshop for the illegal production of cigarettes and hookah tobacco was equipped with special equipment. The finished product was sold on the territory of Ukraine through a retail and wholesale network.

During the searches detectives seized about 20,000 units of goods without excise tax stamps worth almost UAH 6 million, equipment, computer equipment with data carriers and draft accounting records.

The indictment against four members of the organized group has been sent to court. They are charged with illegal manufacture, storage and sale of excise goods (Part 3 of Art. 28, Part 1, 2 of Art 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by the detectives of the Territorial Department of the ESBU in Lviv region operational support by the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region, procedural management by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
